Alexander Hodge Chapter in 1023 has awarded JROTC recipients in FBISD, LCISD, and Stafford ISD.
In recognition of outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing, and excellence, thus exemplifying the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors.
Alexander Hodge Chapter awarded 17 cadets with the JROTC Bronze Metals and SAR Certificates. The awards were presented at each JROTC School Banquet. These 17 recognized cadets and their schools are listed below.

The first award of the year was presented at the 2023 SAR Annual Convention's Youth Award Luncheon to Cadet Captain Elyse H. Garcia, a Junior at Cypress Ridge HS. Cadet Captain Garcia represented the Alexander Hodge Chapter in the SAR JROTC Enhanced Program where she placed 3rd and received a certificate from both the State Society and from the Alexander Hodge Chapter along with a check for $100.00.
Scholarships were awarded to Cadet Myla Martinez of Willowridge HS, Cadet Mya Brigance of Elkins HS, Cadet Brianna J. Shamer of George Ranch HS, and Cadet Bladimir A. Saralay of Lamar Consolidated HS.
Cadets Martinez and Brigance are in FBISD. Cadets Shamer and Saralay are in LCISD.
The Alexander Hodge Chapter was able to award these Scholarships with funds raised by our District 7 VP, Richard Zdunkewicz.
