The following is an excerpt from the Autobiography of Norvell Robertson on file at the Department of Archives and History, Jackson, MS.

I was born on the 22nd day of May 1765 in Buckingham, Virginia near the line from Cumberland and shortly after was removed to the latter county, in which I was brought up, and resided till the last of November 1786, when I left my native country for the State of Georgia. My father, whose name was Jeffrey Robertson, was in quite moderate circumstances, and did not possess the means of giving his children much education.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at the Sweetwater country Club, 4400 Palm Royale Blvd, Sugar Land, Texas 77479. The speaker is Thom Jackson and he will be speaking on the Constitution.  We will have a new member Orientation at 6:00 PM. If you are a new member or older member who wants to find out more about our Chapter or the SAR, please join us. The regular meeting will start at 6:30PM (Social) and meeting starts at 7:00PM.

Memorial Service for Bryan Jay "B Jay" Cannon

The Reverend Doctor Bryan Jay Cannon, aged 90, passed away on July 8, 2019. A memorial service will be held on July 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street, Houston, Texas. Following the service will be a reception at the church.
