Our
Secretary was absent due to a back injury. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Our President, Carl Hill
presented the projected scheduled Speakers for our regular meetings in May,
July, and Sept.
As previous posted, Wesley
Wright will be the Speaker at our May 30th Meeting. Dr Greg Dimmick will
be our July speaker and Chris Hammans will be the Speaker in September.
Carl presented an example of a
flag cover and the recommendation that we purchase enough to protect the flags
that we have.
Carl passed around the National
Awards that the Chapter were received at the State Meeting last month.
One was the Col. Joe M.
Hill Patriot Fund Award for total contributions that exceeded the
previous year for 2022. The second, was the Texas SAR Flag
Presentation Award for the Chapter having recognised individuals,
companies or organizations for US Flag displays for 2022.
Carl presented a printout of
members who are delinquent in paying their Dues. Their are 14 members whose
Dues are overdue. Additionally the List also included former members of the
Chapter.
Those present discussed making
an effort to reach out to both current and former members whose are overdue for
their Dues to see if it was and oversight or a desire to becoming an active
member again.
Carl presented a Form used by a
local DAR Chapter which is used to learn more about Prospective Members.
He polled members present at the Meeting to determine if it is something which
our Chapter might want to use. Those present voted to use a Form and revise it for use by our Chapter.
